As someone who goes to game dev conferences often, I’m really intrigued by the concept of business cards as a play/interaction mechanic. I got a chance to implement this at GDC 2019 thanks to an artistic collaboration with Brackett (@brackett414). 

For a “business card game,” we wanted a design that could encourage optional collectibility, or possible trading via networking with other card recipients (by offering an assortment of aesthetically pleasing card design variations), but could still be played entirely with a single card--running around collecting or collaborating with others might be fun to implement in another business-card game, but we know how busy most folks are at GDC. Additionally, we wanted a design that was focused on enhancing the recipient’s enjoyment/experience at GDC itself, rather than distracting from it (i.e. no possible confusion that it could be part of an ARG, or tied to promoting any of our other projects/work experiences). 

The resulting, final design can be used as a template for other conventions and events you might attend where business cards are a common social currency.
